This haunting piece was quite literally brought back from the dead.
I've recently traveled to Rome , New York, to say "good bye" to my mother (for the last time)... This piece was found among the piles of nick-nacks and doo-dads she'd collected over 70 or so years.
Broken in 2 or 3 places and covered with a blanket of dust, I brought it home and cleaned and repaired it.
I had marked it 1996, which brought about two points of interest...1: I created this piece while staying in San Diego, before moveing to live permanently into Pixley House.....and 2: It was made nearly a decade before this type of artwork was part of my repertoire.
This piece is on a 12" x 12" base and stands 14" high.
Like your description. What a nice piece to remember your mom and still fun to restore it.
