The Shootist

Image
What "guy's" place would be complete with out girls with guns?  I painted this acrylic on a 16" x 20" canvas, in March of 2004.

The Lady

Image
I painted this acrylic in one of my more "patriotic" moments.  Done on a 24" x 36" canvas, in May of 2010, THE LADY is one of my largest paintings.

Centerpiece

I  entitled this piece to go with it's intended function.   Created in February of 2011, This little piece is 11" x 6", and stands 14" high.

House in the enchanted woods

Image
Artwork that requires electricty can be fun. I created this piece in February of 2007. It is 18" x 20" at it's largest spot, and stands 31" high.

Gunfighter

Image
GUNFIGHTER   Is a laquered acrylic on pine. This piece is 23" x 45" (over all), and completed in February of 2011, is my newest piece.

Visions

Image
Painted in September of 2000, this  20" x 24" acrylic is one of my earlier pieces from the "dark side."

Twenty-one

Image
This 24" x 30" acrylic has two stories to it's creation.  Story 1)  Ever get a song stuck in your head? .. In this case, it was the song  "Twenty-one", off the Eagles' Desporado album. story 2) A bit before I painted this piece in October of 2003, one of my daughters asked me "how come you don't ever paint guy angles?"  I put the two ideas together, and this was the result.

DollHouse

Image
This unique doll house is not displayed in my gallery, although it is certainly a work of art.   Both my first wife (Doris), and my grand mother, were avid collectors of dolls and doll related paraphernalia.  I built this "one of a kind" doll house on a 24" x 40" base. It stands 26" high, and was built to scale for standard doll house furniture. (1 inch = 1 foot).  "Construction" was compeleted in 2001, and it has been displayed or advertised (via flyer) many times since.........To no avail..  This little house waits in the up-stairs hall at Pixley House, in the company of the remnants of   Doris and Greta Pixley's doll collections.  Like all the artwork displayed in my gallery, this too is for sale at a negotiatable price.  Please go to  > pixleyhousegallery@yahoo.com <to request more information.                 ...
