Troll Tree

Image
All you need is an overactive imagination, a big tree branch, ( I prefer beech ) and ALOT of time.   Working on and off, it took over nine months in 2007 and 2008 to create    "THE TROLL TREE"   This piece is 12" x 36" at it's biggest spot, and stands 42" high.  To date , this is the largest , most time consuming, and certianly the most intricate piece in my gallery.

Woman By The Water

Image
With no thought of my artwork , one day I took a photo of a friend at an old stone quarry near my home.  The developed picture showed the water almost black and the rocky forground almost white.   "WOMAN BY THE WATER"   was painted in September of 2007, on a 24" x 36" canvas, and to date is my only piece using an (almost) live model.

Boy In The Woods

Image
"BOY IN THE WOODS" was painted on a 16" x 20" flat canvas in November of 2008. I found framing this piece more challenging than painting it.

In A Time Far Away

Do you like wizards ?  Do you like castles ?  Do you like dragons ? I hope you like    "IN A TIME FAR AWAY".       This acrylic was painted on a         15" x 30" canvas in November of 2003.

Meet Kiki

Image
In April of 2009, I painted   "EVA AND KIKI" on a 16" x 20" flat canvas. When completed, this little blue pixie kicked me square in the imagination, and promted a three piece series.

Kiki

Image
"KIKI" is a little blue pixie with a girlish figure and an attitude.  The second picture in this series is painted on a 23" x 36" canvas.

The Gambler

Image
"THE GAMBLER"   I painted this 22" x 28" acrylic in November of 2003, when I was just begining to experiment with special effects. I kind of impressed (if not surprised ) myself  with this one.
